Blake Directory — Privacy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Blake Directory does not track you. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no profile of you — ever. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is the email address you type to receive a sign-in code, and it is used for that one purpose alone.

The directory stays on your device

The names, photos, grades, and contact details you browse are bundled inside the app. The app does not download this information from a server, and browsing the directory sends nothing to us or anyone else.

Your email — the one thing that leaves your phone

To open the directory, you enter the email listed on your Blake profile so we can confirm you belong there. That address is used a single time, for one purpose: to send you a six-digit sign-in code.

The code is delivered through a small verification function (Cloudflare) and an email provider (Resend) for the sole purpose of getting the message to your inbox.

What is saved on your device

After you verify, the app stores a small record on your device only (in the iOS Keychain): a one-way hash of your email, your household, and the directory's year. Your actual email address is not stored on the device. Signing out erases this record.

Re-verification and removal

Verification is tied to the directory's edition. When a new yearly directory is released, everyone re-verifies, and anyone no longer in the directory loses access automatically. If you would like your family's information removed from a future edition of the app, contact us below.

Children's information

Because the directory includes information about students who are minors, access is restricted to verified members of the directory, intended for parents and guardians.
